The Study is a boutique private training studio on Pico Blvd in Santa Monica. A 60-day semester of 1-on-1 coaching, performance nutrition, and recovery, in a 5,000 sq ft studio built for serious, private work.
Why train in Santa Monica?
Santa Monica is one of the most fitness-active cities in the United States, but most of that activity happens in group formats, on public equipment, or at big-box gyms that treat members as volume rather than individuals. The Study is built on the opposite premise: one client, one coach, one program, designed specifically for you.
Located at 1308 Pico Blvd (at the intersection of Santa Monica and Mar Vista), the studio draws clients from across the Westside, from Venice and Brentwood to Playa Vista and Culver City. The location is intentional: central, reachable in under 20 minutes from most Westside neighborhoods, and far enough from the tourist corridors to feel like a working studio rather than a fitness attraction.
The Santa Monica fitness culture has always leaned toward outdoor activity: running the Strand, cycling on the beach path, yoga in the park. The Study complements that lifestyle. Most clients arrive with an existing movement practice and come to The Study for what outdoor fitness can't provide: structured progressive programming, data-tracked performance, and expert nutrition guidance from an in-house Registered Dietitian.
The result is a studio where people who already move well come to move better, and understand why.
The studio.
One studio. No shared locker rooms packed with strangers, no waiting for equipment. When you're training, the floor is yours, designed for focused, undistracted work.
Professional-grade Technogym equipment throughout. Treadmills, cable machines, functional training zones, free weights, and specialty rehabilitation equipment.
On-site cold plunge and infrared sauna. Recovery isn't an afterthought at The Study. It's a structured part of the curriculum, with protocols specific to your training load.
FloWater purified water stations throughout the studio. Clean hydration, no single-use plastic.
A 60-day semester.
The Study doesn't sell sessions. It offers a semester: a structured, 60-day private training program with a beginning, a progression, and a measurable outcome. Three sessions per week, one dedicated coach, one Registered Dietitian, and a program that evolves week by week based on your data.

The Study is centrally located in Santa Monica and regularly serves clients from across the Westside, all within a 20-minute drive.
